Bassist Jackson Mayhall is a freelance musician, bandleader, producer, composer, and educator from Nashville, Tennessee. His versatility on upright and electric bass has allowed him to tour internationally, having performed with Amy Grant, Austin Mahone, Ink, Billy Strings, Emily Ann Roberts, Alexia Jayy (The Voice S29 Winner), Benita Jones, Dalton Davis, Duffy Jackson (Count Basie), and many more. His teaching style is individually tailored to each student, using music that they enjoy to help them learn and grow toward their goals. Having studied music at Belmont University and graduating summa cum laude from Middle Tennessee State University, he has a wealth of academic knowledge as well as real-world experience to help every student succeed.

Kyle Hovland is a dedicated musician and educator who helps students of all ages and skill levels unlock their full potential on the bass. Currently performing as the touring bassist for Jo Dee Messina, Kyle also collaborates with a wide range of artists and works frequently as a session recording musician. He brings this rich, real-world experience from both the live stage and the tracking studio straight to his teaching. Having successfully built a vibrant career over the last 15 years playing music for a living, Kyle is deeply passionate about mentoring players as they develop technique, find their groove, and build stage-ready confidence. His lessons are engaging, inspiring, and tailored to match each student’s unique musical journey. When off-duty, he stays energized by working out, chasing a perfect cup of coffee, and relaxing at home with his wife and their beloved dog, Sconnie.

Since moving to Nashville in 2013, Thomas has built a reputation as a versatile and dynamic bassist, mastering the electric bass, upright bass, and synth bass. With a wide-ranging skillset, Thomas seamlessly navigates through various musical genres, bringing depth and energy to every performance. Whether in the studio or on stage, he is known for delivering groove-driven, emotive basslines that elevate the music.

With a passion for collaboration, Thomas has worked with numerous artists, contributing to Nashville’s vibrant music scene through both live performances and studio recordings. From country, rock, and jazz to R&B, pop, and more, Thomas’s adaptability makes him a sought-after musician, ready to take on any project.
